***Basic requirements for consideration. Must meet the following criteria to be considered:***

  1. Knowledge of CNC machines(s) setup

  2. Knowledge of inserts including wear characteristics, insert style (WNMG, VNMG, CCMT, etc), insert nose radius and grade of insert.

  3. Knowledge of operation aspects of the machines: powering machines up and down, bar feed operation, restarts, faults, etc.

  4. Ability to read and use calipers, micrometers and other measuring equipment

  5. Tooling knowledge; the ability to indentify types of tooling and tooling wear characteristics

  6. Programming knowledge and ability

  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  8. Perform duties with the utmost integrity, professionalism, and display a positive attitude.


Broad Function:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for executing the production plan, organizing, and directing the work of the manufacturing operations engaged in performing diversified machining, assembly, and special process operations.

Assist with the implementation of Lean principles and methods, measure Lean implementation based on published KPI’ s, and sustain implemented improvements through standardization, training and continuous improvement.

Principal Responsibilities:

Production Supervisor:

• Performs those supervisory functions necessary for the effective management of the department, including the selection and development of employees, to include employee counseling, training, motivation, planning, organizing and measuring the work performed.

• Issues individual assignments of work; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the company and community; maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.

• Provides leadership in union avoidance and administers the company’ s human resources policies within the manufacturing organization through effective implementation of work, personnel and pay practices, timely and frank communication, managerial counsel, supervisory and employee development.

• Exercises sound mature judgment and initiative along with the application of technical and shop knowledge to meet fluctuating schedules and to provide solutions to technical problems concerning manufacturing operations.

• Ensures planned production levels, quality, efficiency, effectiveness, and budget objectives are met and reports progress against objectives to the manager.

• Participates in the development of short and long range manufacturing objectives in cooperation with the manager, plans equipment and manpower utilization to assure maximum effectiveness and advises manager of requirements/excesses in a timely manner.

• Instructs and advises employees in the proper use and application of equipment
