Our customer in the Atlanta, GA area is currently seeking a Process/Manufacturing Engineer on a long term, direct hire basis.

PROCESS / MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Job Duties:
• Engineering support for manufacturing process: analyze process parameters, optimize process flow, minimize scrap rate
• Engineering support for production equipment: trouble shoot equipment malfunctions (mechanical and electrical), develop equipment specifications, manage installation and validation of new equipment
• Design of production equipment and fixtures in cooperation w/ design department and 3rd parties
• Introduction and validation of new products in the manufacturing operation to meet technical specification, quantity and quality requirements
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, process change documentation, work and test instructions
• Develop and maintain FMEA documentation as an important tool to manage the production process
• Perform production process audits in cooperation w/ Quality Department

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering (or similar)
• 3+ years of experience working in a production environment in a similar position
• Experience w/ membrane, fiber or similar production process preferred
• Solid engineering background to understand and analyze mechanical, electronic and process control functionalities
• Familiarity w/ PLC-controlled equipment, preferably w/ some programming experience, including data processing
• Demonstrated ability to systematically approach and resolve production process and equipment challenges
• Proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably Solidworks
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and evaluate product and process parameters
• Design of Experiments
• Excellent knowledge of MS Suite; preferable familiarity w/ database programs e.g. FileMaker Pro and SQC programs
• Hands-on skillset, mechanically inclined
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent self-organizational skills
• Potential to supervise employees
• Preferable experience working in an ISO 9001 environment
• CNC programming experience beneficial
