Our customer in the Mableton, GA area is currently seeking to hire a Process Engineer on a long term direct hire basis.

Job Duties:
• Develop, configure and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification
• Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data
• Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes
• Sales forecasting
• Process Planning
• Time studies
• Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
• Perform process simulations
• Manage cost and time constraints
• Perform risk assessments
• Provide process documentation and operating instructions
• Refine systems and methods to continually improve plans so that the organization can better anticipate customer needs
• Assess existing capacity and draw up forecasts based on future plans for demand
• Manage deviations from the plan that have financial impact
• Monitor key manufacturing processes for capacity and demand, identify capacity constraints and provide analysis
• Continually monitor and review plans and make appropriate adjustments in the event of changes or unforeseen circumstances
• Review data and trends and diagnose problems and concerns
• Reconcile variances from original plans and maintain a view of actual against forecast projections

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’ s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical or Industrial)
• Proven work experience in process manufacturing, quality, project management, continuous improvement
• Excellent technical skills
• Cycle Time Reduction experience is a plus
• Highly developed numeracy, statistical and reporting skills with the ability to analyze, interpret and manage information, data and trends
• Knowledge of process related standards
• Experience in process simulations
• Working knowledge of process engineering software packages
• Knowledge of manufacturing in an apparel environment
• CAD or AutoCAD skills
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations
• Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills
• Good understanding of the apparel industry and knowledge of production processes and capacity planning
• Previous experience of building capacity/forecasting models and plans and undertaking complex analysis to create information
