TRC’ s managed services client is looking to add an experienced Principal consultant to their Transformation division. This individual will have the opportunity to work with industry experts and improve client’ s technology infrastructure. You have the chance to advise fortune 500 companies and impact a business. The Principal Consultant is the technical lead for the Transformation team with responsibility for being customer facing. This individual will gather client technical and business necessities, provide data center, telecommunications and cloud solution design/engineering/consulting, execute and/or lead technical workshops with clients, and develop product and proposal content. This individual will also provide consulting leadership on projects.


• Lead multiple client arrangements simultaneously to understand and document business needs and design requirements necessary for the formulation of optimal solutions
• Deliver technical network expertise for Advocate clients in active projects
• Design creative customer solutions using the best mix of the client’ s and partner products including technical and management solutions
• Generate different proposal and product material including network diagrams, cloud diagrams, network flow diagrams, economic business modeling and written content to present solutions to clients by describing the benefits of the solution
• Manage assigned client engagements at all levels of client interaction with
responsibility for product and technical content
• Form relationships with clients serving as a technical liaison from pre-sale to post-sale
• Build relationships with partners for client solutions and product development
• Follow industry technology trends through self-study and formal training and share that knowledge internally and externally
• Support strategic product sales and revenue through proactive engagement with clients


• 5+ years of technical consulting experience for a mid to large size professional services, managed services, or IT outsourcing firm including design and execution of large-scale infrastructure transformations such as network and/or data center migrations
• 5+ years designing technical solutions in complex, large scale, multi-site environments, with previous roles in one or more of the following: Systems Engineer or Architect, Network Engineer or Architect, Storage Engineer or Architect, Systems or Network Security, Systems Automation/Tools Developer/DevOps Engineer, Cloud/Virtualization Engineer or Architect
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, and Project software
• Bachelor’ s degree from a top tier college/university, with graduate degree preferred, in Business, Finance, Telecommunications, IT or other relevant degree
• Technical or process certifications are preferred, such as ITIL, CISSP, CCNA, MCSE, TOGAF, etc.
• Experience with Salesforce.Com (preferred)
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time;
• International services delivery experience is preferred (BONUS!)


• Understanding of Network as a Service (“ NaaS”) functions and value to clients
• Understanding of Software Defined Networking for data center
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
• Experience with private data center and neutral data center infrastructure and networking
• Experience supporting private data center applications alongside Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
applications on AWS and/or Azure
• Hands-on experience with Cisco Routing Protocols and Cisco Core Switching
• TDM, SONET and Ethernet technologies and products
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.G., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
• Software defined wide area network (SD-WAN) experience and understanding
• Network security skills including Firewall, AVMS, and IDS/IPS
