Our manufacturing customer with over 500 employees in over 10 countries, that is based in Switzerland and was founded over 60 years ago, is looking to immediately hire a Manufacturing Engineer/Electromechanical on a permanent basis in their Fulton County, Georgia location.

MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

Job Functions:
Develop and improve cable assembly processes and techniques to achieve reduced defects and improved efficiencies through continuous improvement and process optimization
Evaluate cable designs for manufacturability
Develop training requirements and procedures for cable assembly processes
Supervise manufacturing process technicians
Lead the thermoplastic and silicone over-molding operation by developing processes, supporting and training operators, recommending and designing mold changes
Manage transition of existing assemblies to subcontractors
Provide coaching to work cell teams
Work with outside suppliers to improve subcontracted assembly designs and assembly processes
Work with vendors to solve quality and productivity issues.
Develop and maintain all production related test fixtures and processes
Develop, support, and document first build and prototype processes

Requirements:

Previous experience in an electro-mechanical production environment; cable assembly experience is a plus

Lean techniques or 6 sigma experience preferred
Familiarity with standard engineering design concepts, practices, and procedures
Experience in performing and documenting failure analysis
Excellent computer skills with standard office applications
Strong work ethic and organizational skills
Previous work experience in an ISO 9001 environment
BS degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology and 5 years of experience

Experience with thermoplastic or silicone injection molding
Experience with SAP ERP system
CAD
Soldering experience
Cable assembly techniques and practices
Experience with common shop tools including lathe and 3-axis mill
