TRC Professional Solutions, on behalf of the Client, is hiring for a Manager for Finance & Planning, to join a growing team, part of a leading world-class company, for a direct hire opportunity in the Greater Atlanta area.

This role will provide analytical support for all activities and processes of the Client’s FP&A department. The focus of this role is on leading the monthly financial forecasts, annual operating plans and 3-year strategic plans. Responsibilities also include: aiding in month end close and reporting processes, consolidating and review working capital forecasts, coordinating and tracking capital expenditures. Support continuous improvement activities to achieve world class financial reporting standards.



  • Coordinate the monthly forecasting process and consolidate financial results

  • Develop the month end financial results support package

  • Develop and present supporting explanations for full year outlook requiring deep variance analysis

  • Manage capital expenditure tracking and consolidation across Business Unit

    • Prepare Appropriation Requests for Division level projects
  • Develop a strong understanding of Cognos TM1 innerworkings for the Business Unit

    • Support field finance questions, hold training sessions, etc.
  • Ad hoc financial analysis of financial and operating metrics to support BOD, Business Unit, CFO and CEO reporting requirements

  • Develop complex Business Unit level financial models


  • Analysis of remaining full year outlook: P&L and Balance Sheet

  • Ad hoc analysis


  • Support the development and analysis of the Long Range Plan (LRP) plan

  • Support the development and analysis of the annual operating plan

  • Consolidate the financial results for the operating plan

  • Analysis of business segment plans


  • Support Business Unit as needed on special projects

  • Support Corporate Level analysis for key items


  • BS with major in Finance / Accounting (preferred)

  • MBA with concentration in Finance (preferred)

  • 5-7 years relevant work experience

  • Paperboard Packaging Industry experience (preferred)

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SAP R3 and OLAP tools

  • Strong financial modeling skills
