Maintenance Techs-2nd & 3rd Shift

Our worldwide customer in Tucker, GA is currently looking for two Maintenance Techs to join their team on a long-term direct-hire (permanent) basis.

Openings are currently on 2nd and 3rd Shift.
2nd Shift (2: 30PM – 11: 00PM)
3rd Shift (10: 30PM – 7: 00AM)

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for:
• Supporting the Plant Maintenance Supervisor in ensuring that all equipment is running at its optimum efficiency
• Maintaining any and all mechanical equipment
• Maintaining all the mechanical components of the production system, thereby, ensuring the system remains operational and functioning at the optimum level
• Identifying all spare parts, especially critical spare parts
• Performing the required preventive maintenance activities for all mechanical components of the entire production system
• Being fully capable of operating all equipment (installed and mobile) within the plant
• Ensuring that all personnel are working in a safe manner including the wearing of appropriate safety apparel and devices
• Acting as an Alternate Emergency Coordinator when needed

Education: High School Graduate

Experience Required:
• Strong Mechanical and Electrical Aptitude
• Very strong troubleshooting skills
• Training co-workers on maintenance and safety related subject-matters
• Extensive knowledge of industrial mechanical systems (Minimum of 5+ years of experience working in a 24 hr, fast paced production environment where uptime is critical yet safety is never compromised)
• Working knowledge and Promotion of OSHA Safety Standards
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and conveyor equipment and functions
• Working knowledge of PLC controlled manufacturing operations
• Experience in forklift maintenance
• Proficient communicating in Microsoft Office

Experience Preferred:
• Working knowledge of bulk powder handling type equipment
• Creating Performance Maintenance Plans (CMMS)
• Welding
• Working knowledge of pumps (horizontal, vertical, air diaphragm) and compressors
• Electrical Maintenance Experience including:
o Interpreting electrical wiring diagrams, blueprints and schematics
o Knowledge of NEC codes
o PLC troubleshooting
o Experience with Motor Control Centers
o Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD)
o Experience working with high and low voltage

• Strong Mechanical and Electrical Aptitude
• Very Strong Troubleshooting Skills
• High Level of Initiative - Self Starter
• Positive " can do" approach to work
• Must look for ways to constantly improve processes
• Proficient communicating in Microsoft Office
• Must be able to quickly adapt to a changing environment
• Must be able to work in a team environment, as well as independently:
o Remaining flexible to changing work and shift assignments
