Our Tier One Automotive Supplier customer is currently looking to immediately hire a Logistics Analyst in Cobb County, GA (north of Atlanta). The ideal candidate will focus on material flow process through banks, buffers and visual inventory in compliance with IMS SCM and Coordinates the material flow activities with supervisors.

Logistic Analyst/PFEP updates and coordinates a plan for every part and keeps contemporary realistic data within the PFEP database. Moreover, the Logistics Analyst ensures deployment of updates to shop floor personnel.

This position is involved in all PRP projects and responsible to develop the material flow and packaging for inbound and outbound working with suppliers and customers and purchasing, the setup of supplier portals with IT and Suppliers, drafting and deploying the supplier logistics agreements and setting up of sequencing process with IT and help of 3rd party logistics providers if necessary.


•Assists with plant facility and Point of Use (POU) issues
•Resolves numerous issues dealing with suppliers, supplier contracts or buyer related problems in the launch phase
•Coordinates material activities surrounding a plan for every part for launches and pilots
•Interfaces with suppliers and 3LP and plant floor on material issues
•Monitors pull systems through periodic audits
•Participates in investigation of premium transportation issues
•Responds to and resolves floor problems in the assigned floor area such as:
•Min/max condition
•Standard pack discrepancies
•Packaging compliance coordination with the supplier
•Discrepancy Reports
•Resolves other supplier non-conformance
•Manages part buffers
•Issues claims for various issues and follow up on supplier responses
•Responsible for standard pack updates &communication with Containerization group
•Participates in LNinfor part information data transfer for Engineering changes
•Works with material supervisors, assists material handlers, route drivers, etc
•Identifies waste and develops plans for waste elimination
•Updates PFEP database using current production information and changes
•Sets buffer calculations (MAX/MIN)
•Sets up new parts plan (Delivery LOC / Usage LOC / other)
•Sets plant defaults
•Updates pull system information
•Updates labor study information
•Analyzes changes / communicates with floor and office personnel
•Creates new visual management signage as needed
•Responsible for development of material flow (in and outbound) in new business projects in multiple PRP projects and launches
•Responsible using PRP standards to hand over all deliverables for section 10 of PRP to project manager and materials planning organization at Gate D (maturity % in PRP process)
•Support the set up supplier portal for new suppliers and validating
•Responsible for set up Vendor Management Inventory (VMI)/consignment locations
•Responsible for making sure all relevant data for ERP set up (Customer master, part master, EDI links, etc.) are set up and validated with operational materials planning organization
•Responsible for process of pre-builds before ERP is set up
•Responsible for setting up and deploying Supplier Logistics agreements with critical new suppliers
•Responsible for setting up sequencing process
•Responsible to support Production line migrations
•Perform all needed analysis with the ultimate goal of providing valuable information to enable effective business decisions

Specific Requirements:
•Educational level /Experience: Bachelor degree (Logistics or Industrial Science) with at least 3+ years’ experience in automotive preferred
•Experience in complete SCM scope from materials planning in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), warehousing, line feeding concepts, packaging and Supplier portals to supplier agreements
•Lean experience (5s, Value Stream Management (VSM), visuals, Standard work, etc)
•Experience in production migrations
