Job Description

The senior IT Security Manager is an all-rounder with in-depth subject matter expertise, project management experience and leader ship skills needed to plan, coordinate, coach, lead and support a variety of security initiatives globally. With his hand-on skills he will also be implementing initiatives on his own or as part of a team.

Support a variety of IT security projects in the environment of compliance (GDPR, SOX, ISO 27001/2, NIST) and technical projects such as deployment and improvement of technical security measures (Firewalls, Antivirus, DLP, DRM, etc.)
Oversee global IT initiatives that aim to improve cyber-security
Support the team by collaborating in creation, updating and tracking policies, procedures and standards
Participate with the team in various security awareness activities such as communication and training campaigns
As part of the security team, the candidate would support a variety of topics like patching, antivirus, vulnerability management, disk encryption as well as a variety of other rather technical IT security topics
Engage in a variety of activities to continuously improve the security measures and processes

BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent degree
IT security industry certifications such as CISSP or CISM
10 years of experience in the IT Security preferably supporting larger manufacturing companies and in a matrix organization
Experience with working in globally distributed teams and work on projects or initiatives
Multiple years of in-depth experiences with one of multiple of the following ISO 27001/2, NIST 800-171, SOX
Experience in managing projects as a project manager and/or coach
Leadership experience in a global/international and distributed environment
Experience with convincing colleagues from other teams, functions or business units, to understand and follow security requirements and remediate deviations thereof
Ability to work with and supervise external vendors
Self-starter with ability to work autonomously and with discipline
Comfortable with working in an international environment
Willingness to work hard in a fast changing and very demanding environment
Interest in continuous improvement activities and methods such as Lean, Scrum
Good experience in one or multiple IT domains such as IT infrastructure, networking or application maintenance
Solid understanding networking concepts including common network services, protocols and network infrastructure
Solid understanding of client and server operating systems
Very solid understanding of IT operations and service desk processes including a good understanding of ITIL
Very solid understanding of technical IT security topics such as system- and network security, identity and access management, cryptography, physical security
Good understanding of incident, problem and change management
Incident response
Awareness, practice and commitment to safe working practices
Excellent communication, organizational agility, and leadership skills
