TRC has an immediate opening for an experienced Control Engineer for a client located in Graham, NC. The is a permanent direct hire role; work hours are 7a - 5p.

About the Position:
In the Controls Engineer role, you will review customer Requests for Quotation, design control systems, and complete critical project documents. If you are humble and hungry, have a strong commitment to integrity, and enjoy working in a team environment, you could be an ideal candidate. In this position, you will:
• Review customer RFQ specifications, develop controls engineering, and design strategies to meet the applicable requirements; support proposal costing and submittal preparation; and collaborate with sales team to promote best design options
• Design control system and select components to meet required specifications on new projects
• Select instrumentation to meet required specifications on new projects
• Prepare project documentation relating to instrumentation and controls components, including spec sheets, design drawings, O&M manuals, and validation documents, as applicable
• Develop well documented PLC programs using current programming software from Rockwell Automation and Siemens
• Develop user friendly HMI applications using current programming software from Rockwell Automation and Siemens
• Execute special projects and other duties, as assigned
• Manage time and workload to meet Company needs

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or 1-5 years of equivalent experience
• Proficiency in these software packages is preferred: RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000, FactoryTalk View Studio
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, PLC ladder logic programming, HMI application development
• Familiarity of industrial instrumentation and control components and systems including, but not limited to, PLC/PAC, analyzers, sensors, valves, power supplies, wiring devices, variable frequency drives, and motor control
• Additional knowledge in the areas of NEC, NFPA, and UL codes is preferred
• Ability to read and design electrical schematics
• Aptitude to troubleshoot industrial control systems
• Excellent communication skills
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, organized, energetic, and capable of staying cool under pressure from multiple ongoing projects
