Our client in Atlanta is currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join their nonprofit Executive team. The client is a nationally- accredited Atlanta nonprofit that has worked for the inclusion of people with disabilities in the Atlanta area for several years. The client also has an operating budget of nearly $5 million and a staff of over 70 passionate employees. This candidate reports directly to the Executive Director. Include an Undergraduate degree in business or accounting which is required. MBA or CPA desirable. 7-10 years’ experience in nonprofit accounting required. Experience with Financial Edge and Raiser’s Edge preferred.
Responsible for overall financial management, including the review and approval of onthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting materials and metrics for the Executive
Director and Board.
Regularly review the organization’s businesses and propose ideas to protect and strengthen the Center’s operational and financial health.
Responsible for proper accounting of restricted funds.
Maintain internal control safeguards and coordinate all audit and tax return activity.
Facilitate financial aid process.
Assess and communicate the impact of potential changes on the various programs and of the organization as a whole. Serve as a resource to the directors in evaluating program changes and improvements.
Present and interpret financial reports as needed, collaborating with the Board of Directors and management in decision-making processes.
