Accounting Specialist

Columbia, SC


Position Description:
Under moderate supervision, the sales accounting specialist is responsible for preparing quotes on request from the Sales Department, utilizing the company's CRM software and ensuring accuracy and timely entry and delivery of quotes.

Essential Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:
*Administer quote request fulfillment process, including but not limited to generating and delivering quotes within the required response time
*Accurately update and maintain account records
*Maintain a working knowledge of products and product configurations
*Communicate effectively with Account Representatives and Inside Sales Representatives to resolve problems with quote requests
*Ensure all prices quoted remain within established discount guidelines
*Respond to inbound sales related inquires
*Back up hardware and software Order Processing as needed
*Other duties as assigned

*Ability to stay focused and complete tasks within established guidelines

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or GED and 0 to 1 years of experience in a customer-focused role using CRM software or an equivalent combination of skills, abilities and knowledge.

Language Skills:

Employee must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Employee must possess the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Employee must possess the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Employee must possess the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Employee must be able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Computer Skills:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of contact management systems; Internet software, inventory software, spreadsheet software, word processing software and other business office application software.
